Harold Fry's Unexpected Journey
After the author's acclaimed novel about an elderly man's road trip was adapted into a 2023 film, it featured multiple lovely tracks by artist Sam Lee. More recently, another musician Passenger created the music and lyrics for the theatrical version, which is moving to the city's performance hub in winter. Passenger's album of musical interpretations, called One for the Road – with bonus material that weren't included in the stage production and a feature from actor Jack Wolfe, who portrayed the storytelling character – is now accessible to stream.
Alice's Tea Party
This performance group is providing the classic story a hip-hop spin in the coming months, with this adaptation at the famous venue. Returning ten years, Kate Prince's company transformed Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with this dance adaptation. Available from Digital Theatre.
The Hedda Adaptation
The playwright moves the classic drama from historical Oslo to mid-century Britain and recasts the protagonist into a former Hollywood star, in an adaptation drawing from the life of Oscar-nominated actor Merle Oberon. This filmmaker leads the actress in the first staging at this performance venue in this location. Available 25-28 November.
Moments of Grace with Aurélie Dupont
Cinematographer this creator is best known for his often romantic comedies – but he also has a love of performance art. His cinematic work En Corps starred dancer the artist, whose teacher the renowned dancer, the principal dancer became dance director at Paris Opera, is profiled through amazing dance footage in this documentary film, currently available on MarqueeTV.
The Estate
A powerful portrayal from the actor drives Shaan Sahota's recent theatrical work, which will be available on National Theatre at Home on the twelfth. On that evening, to mark inclusive media events and 25 years of the deaf-led charity the company, there's a captioned digital presentation with real-time conversation for spectators.
