Vehicles in Germany's City Found Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Police stated they were contacted by a resident who found a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Around fifty vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.

Officers say they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a resident observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered multiple other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Police say early analysis show the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no indication as to its origin; investigators are currently not informed of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they commented.

Municipal representatives said they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for details.

An important political figure said the incident rendered him without words and required to be addressed promptly.

"This incident strikes at the very heart of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he wrote on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a assailant targeting residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
